PROFESSOR JOHN LENNOX
Professor John Lennox is one of the most respected Christian thinkers and communicators in the world today. Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford and Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College, he has spent decades engaging with the biggest questions of science, faith and meaning — in university lecture theatres, public debates, and books read by millions.
John Lennox spoke at Teach the Word 2025 to a packed house, and we are thrilled to welcome him back for 2026.
the power of the gospel
Our theme for 2026
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” Romans 1:16
This year’s conference explores the central, transforming truth of the Christian faith: the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Drawing primarily from the book of Romans, our four sessions will trace this theme—from the power of the Gospel, to its relevance for our world today, the necessity of its proclamation, and its daily outworking in our lives.
May the Lord bless His Word to our hearts.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Teach the Word is a full day conference that brings together Christians from across the UK for Bible teaching, worship, and fellowship. Whether you've been coming for years or this is your first time, you'll find a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a day that will leave you encouraged and equipped in your faith.
BIBLE TEACHING Four sessions of expository Bible teaching from three gifted teachers—serious in content, accessible in delivery, and relevant to everyday life.
WORSHIP A rich time of congregational worship, led by the Teach the Word Worship Team, opens the conference and continues throughout the day.
FELLOWSHIP One of the highlights of the day is simply being together—meeting believers from across the country, reconnecting with friends, and encouraging one another in the Lord. The venue provides a great space for conversation and community.
CHILDREN & YOUTH Dedicated programmes run throughout the day alongside the main sessions, so parents can be fully present knowing their children are well cared for and engaged. Tickets for children and young people are completely free.

GETTING HERE
The King's Centre Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 0ES
BY TRAIN Oxford station is just a 10-minute walk from the King's Centre. Taxis are available outside the station, but please note that a road closure on the direct route means the taxi journey currently takes around 20 minutes. Walking is often faster.
BY CAR — PARK & RIDE (recommended) The Seacourt Park & Ride on the Botley Road is the easiest option. Buses run every 15–20 minutes and the journey is just 3 minutes. Alight at the Osney Island stop on Botley Road — the King's Centre is a 5–10 minute walk from there.
BY CAR — DIRECT PARKING Parking is available at the King's Centre itself, with overflow parking in adjacent car parks. Parking stewards in hi-vis vests will be on hand to direct you on the day.
Street parking is also available along Ferry Hinksey Road and Osney Mead — there are no restrictions on Saturdays.
LUNCH & REFRESHMENTS
Refreshments are included — tea, coffee, pastries and snacks will be available throughout the day at no extra cost.
Lunch is not included. We recommend bringing a packed lunch and eating at the venue — there's plenty of space and it's a great time to catch up with people. There are food options in the area but they're not immediately adjacent to the King's Centre, and Saturday traffic in Oxford can be busy.
